Nice tour, John, thanks. I especially liked Barley Church and the Barley cat. And your presentation started me wondering, is it still possible to buy those photo album corners? I haven't seen them in so long that I had completely forgotten about them. Jim
To Wayfarin' Stranger - we can get them here in Canada, so I would assume you should be able to get them in GB. I bought several packages of black ones a year or two back - check anywhere that sells scrapbooking supplies.
John, where did you find this technique for your photos (white edge and corners) - gives a neat effect.
I can not believe how many of your wonderful posts I have missed ...in one week!! The Cottage on the Green was amazing ...and I really think I must look for the book ...that sort of research fascinates me.Amazing photos as ever.
The landscape surrounding the windmill is suggestive of New England--the place of my "roots and raising." You've captured the Barley Cat in a wonderful moment--inscrutable gooseberry-green eyes and all.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'll try to answer any questions via a comment or e-mail within the next day or two (no hard questions, please!).
Your photos are my mini trips to England. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteAnother fine tour. The manor house at Little Chishill would fit in nicely at Williamsburg.
ReplyDeleteGreat snaps John, and imaginatively presented. Love that windmill and "the resident" ! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThat shot of the white windmill is so peaceful... love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along on your bike ride. You live in a lovely area.
