Daisy, Rose And Amy

The Ox-eye Daisies were looking good yesterday....

….as were the flowers of the wild Dog Rose....

And for today's "Music On Friday" (arriving on Saturday this week - what's the use of being retired if I still have to stick to schedules?) I'll share with you an artist whom I would probably have missed entirely if not for a young man that I used to look after; she was one of his favourites when she released her first album and had her first hit record when she was just 18. Here she is, rather more acoustic than usual, locked down in her own house....

Take care.

  2. Love daisies, fresh and bright, and these are really amazing photos of them - I'd give anything to walk through a field of ox-eyes right now! Wild roses are so pretty too.
Amy's music is certainly on point - I can see myself sitting in a rustic country pub enjoying a glass of wine and listening to her music! Can't wait to start traveling again, especially home to Devon!
Enjoy these weekend days John. . . . .even though they all feel the same now!

  6. These are some of the greatest pics of the daisies! I have yet to get one even half so decent. That first is a stroke of genius I think! And the wild Dog Rose is pretty, too. We always just call them wild rose bushes.

    Oh, good music, too.

  17. Beautiful photos of beautiful flowers. Some people think the wild dog rose is a weed, I have liked them ever since I was a little girl, I have one in my garden. It's always good to hear Amy.
