Bressingham Gardens must be one of the finest gardens in the East of England. What started off as a piece of agricultural land, when it was bought by Alan Bloom in 1953, has evolved under the management of three generations of the Bloom family into today's floral wonderland of 8,000 species and varieties of plants. Lets waste no more time and just immerse ourselves in the Dell Garden.
That's only part of the gardens, I'll show you more in the next post. Also on the site there's a steam railway museum, miniature steam railways, a fairground ride, a café, a gift shop and a collection of old vehicles used in the Dad's Army TV series. Then right next door there's a large garden centre which also has a restaurant.
Take care.
OH !!! It is so beautiful. Such an explosion of colour and magic scenes. It sure does look and sound like a wonderful place to visit. Fabulous photos too.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, the groupings of the plants are outstanding.
ReplyDeleteWhat a visual treat John, both your superb captures and the video on the link. Bressingham Gardens has so much to offer visitors, after a walk around the garden I would be into the nursery for sure 🌸💜
ReplyDeleteIt's obviously a very appealing place to visit, one that I would enjoy immensely. It's great that "even unto the third generation" the family has maintained a passion for the garden and the tradition continues. .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, especially that third shot.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis garden is awesome! Just beautiful! I'll be looking forward to more photos of it. You have a super day, hugs, Edna b.
ReplyDeleteWow. So lovely. I am thinking and planning my garden as just today a tree service is here removing the overgrown bushes and trimming the trees. It's not the one we initially had a proposal from in January but kept putting us off when we inquired when?. We canceled that and went with a different company. Came Saturday for estimate and here today. I call that prompt service.
ReplyDeleteThat is so gorgeous! Every shot you took is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos...and I mean that. Beauty is often missed by the camera because there's not a clear foreground, midground and background...and these beds of flowers do offer great opportunities for your eye to capture them. Many thanks for sharing them here in blogland. I'm continually amazed at what I can find here!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful place to spend the day taking photographs. I've enjoyed yours!
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful there it takes my breath away. Your photos capture the truly awesome beauty there. Thank you for this. Looking forward to the next post.
ReplyDeleteWell, that family sure lives up to their name - Bloom! You did a wonderful job of showing us the beauty that they have planted and nurtured there. Can't wait to see more... Thanks, John!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, thoughtful colour combinations John.
ReplyDeleteYou have shown Bressingham off to perfection John.
ReplyDeleteI watched Carol Klein recently on Channel 5 visiting Bressingham throughout all the seasons. What a very appropriate family name the Blooms have.
So beautiful! I'm waiting for the next post.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful colour combinations. We so much enjoyed our visits to English gardens.
ReplyDeleteJust amazing. Added to the list for next time we come over.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful garden, John.
ReplyDeleteGlorious! What an incredible place for a wander!
ReplyDeleteIt's a spectacular garden, I saw a televitions programme about it through the seasons a few weeks ago:)
