  6. So lovely to see the gardens where I saw my first Fritillaria, the chequered variety.

  7. It's amazing how many colours the autumn has on its palette. I would have loved a walk in this park - with a camera, of course. Your post was a very nice substitute :-)

The great greenhouse was a treat for me, too.

  10. Really like the way the fallen leaves edge the paths, and the great overhanging tree branch in pic.1. The word "structure" comes to mind for pic.1-7,8 - the plants and trees have a sturdiness to them. Very pleasing. I also like the quirkiness of the sedum which is now purple with yellow leaves - no photo shop needed. Some durable looking rocks in pic.8 that go well with ferns that always look prehistoric. Inviting stepping stones across the stream. Thanks for the outing. All snowy out this way :)

  11. Beautiful photos, as always. I'm interested to see that many trees still have their leaves.

  15. WOW! The botanic garden is still very beautiful. I fear the Toronto Botanical Garden is looking far browner.

  18. Thank you for all the nice comments. After much rain and wind I'm afraid it's not quite so colourful now as I write this.
