Frontages
I got rather carried away photographing the various shop fronts along Mill Road. As you'll see, many nations of the world are represented and there's plenty of competition to sell you a bicycle! It was a Sunday afternoon so the street was relatively quiet - during the week the traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) makes it difficult to get clear views across the street.
Take care.

Hi John - interesting range of shops ... thanks for sharing these - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteWow. I love these. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteDiverse and cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic range of shops, and all within that one road too.
ReplyDeleteIf someone ever made a jigsaw puzzle out of that montage it would be suicide-inducing!
ReplyDeleteNip In is an interesting name.
ReplyDeleteWonderful presentation of photos, all straight on, and combined well!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot, I only showed on this week
ReplyDeleteQuite a variety!
ReplyDeleteWow! That really is quite the display, and so beautifully presented.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see all the independent shops. A lot of eating places... I'm always amazed they can survive as there are so many. Clearly many people 'eat out' or takeaway a lot more than I do.
ReplyDeleteA person ought to be able to find anything their heart desires there.
ReplyDeleteThat’s auite a colorful and diverse selection of store fronts, John. I would go to the Limoncello shop first😋
ReplyDeleteWhat a variety. Something for everyone! I wonder how the types of businesses would vary from, say 100 years ago. It would be interesting to see a photo of the same street and compare.
ReplyDeleteI did find a few photos online and they confirm my thoughts - lots of food retailers (bakers, butchers, greengrocers, fishmongers etc) as well as tailors, haberdashers and so on. There were also more betting shops till quite recently when most gambling went online.
DeleteThat's a lot of interesting shop fronts!
ReplyDeleteMy word. All this on one street?? It boggles my mind.
ReplyDeleteIt's a long street!
DeleteWhat a super range of shops with all tastes catered for. I bet the road is quite vibrant during opening hours:)
ReplyDeleteGood to see the smaller grocery stores are alive and kicking John, newsagents also. I would be into the antique centre quick as a flash 😊
