So Far So Good

A couple of days ago I went for one of my frequent rambles
in and around the little wood near my home.
It was all very wet, very mild and very green.
Since then though it's begun to get colder and it starts to feel wintry.

Take care.

  1. This so called winter has been ridiculous to date, chilly tonight though!

  2. Beautiful photos! About the last one, is that a painted wall with peeling paint? Very curious! I wish you continued winterless weather.

  3. You found lots of colour. It's much colder here today and there is some snow around. I don't know what that will do to the premature spring bulbs and blossom!

  5. Beautiful, - fills me with longing. Tender flowers and such gorgeous greenery. We have a continual foggy mist that fills the valley from top to bottom. Enjoy the loveliness....

  6. How can you have flowers in bloom and green things around at this time of year!? You're a long way north of us!

  7. Wet and green sounds wonderful John .... every thing here is brown and dry. Great pic of fungi near the moss tree trunk

  12. Snowdrops and blossoms=winter? I guess so in England.
Cold enough for squeaky snow here.
    Really like the last photo.

  14. These all seem like indicators of spring approaching John, that must be a welcome sight :) The last shot with the tree bark and ivy is a delightful mixture of texture and colour!

  16. Hm, looks like spring, not winter. You have a wonderful eye for color and details.

  17. I share the similar weird winter scenes with you here in Japan. Over the years, strange landscape with unusually early blooms of Ume blossoms (which look like the fourth image) or still lingering colored leaves was reported. It had been so warm unusually; it did feel so comfortable but didn’t feel right. Suddenly weather became wintry about a week ago and now it’s freezing cold. Snowfall caused transport chaos in Tokyo but will keep nature in order. Wish you a happy, healthy year.
