Window Wonderland
Being away from blogging for a year hasn't changed the old boy. He still can't resist pointing his camera at other people's windows. So here's a little selection that mainly concentrates on reflections. Some taken in the city and some in the countryside.
Take care.
liking the play on words title for this post John and like that you made it back to blogging your photos; it's good to have somewhere to share them like this. Your initial joy spreads around the world then! The third and fourth photos were going to be my favourites, until I saw the finale' one - THAT's my favourite now. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteI echo Carole's sentiments.
ReplyDeleteI like the last one best!

You are the windowmeister! The fourth image is a meisterpiece.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a grand tour! Beautiful, wonky and wondrous windows/reflections.
ReplyDeleteA very clever series John. My favourite is what seems to be a curved building in a curved window. Then again it could be a straight building which appears curved in the curved window.
ReplyDeleteRight first time, Joe. Curved building and curved window.
DeleteAs always, so varied and interesting. Can't really pick a favourite as it would be comparing apples with oranges, but I really like the energy in no.4 and the quiet atmosphere in the last one.
ReplyDeleteNice to see that you have returned to Blog-land and with as interesting posts as ever. My preference here is the repeating telephone-booths.
ReplyDeleteHi John, lovely to catch up with you again. I've just had a very enjoyable time catching up with missed posts..you haven't lost your touch here..impossible to pick a favourite, although the cathedral reflections are pretty special.
ReplyDeleteI like number 2, looks like a screen-print.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add that the pictures are really interesting - and brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThey are all quite wonderful captures, - I couldn't possibly say which I like best, but the last one is very homey...
ReplyDeleteLove the one with the reflection of the church and the one of the little cottage window.
ReplyDeleteLean toward the beach huts -- vernacular is usually my default in architecture. However, all your photos are fantastic. I am new to your site and went through and viewed many of your past posts -- they are beautiful and unique. -- barbara
ReplyDeleteYes, I've seen some wonderful photos of old barns on your blog. I kind of like most styles of architecture but they seem to exist in different areas of my brain!
DeleteThank you everyone. It's always interesting to see which photos people like best when I do this sort of post, though I try not to be swayed by other people's opinions and endeavour to just take what grabs my attention.
ReplyDeleteLove your reflections! I'm glad you still enjoy pointing your camera at windows. These are arty reflections.

ReplyDeleteThe window posts are favorites. Lots to think about in reflections and thoughts about things behind the windows.
