Nothing's perfect in this world, least of all the light when you're taking photographs. Either it's dull and dreary or else the light is smashing fiercely down giving burnt out highlights and inky-black shadows. Black shadows? Well, why not?
And a self-portrait to finish off....
There are times when the fluidity of the shadows beats looking at the real article, though not always... :-)ReplyDelete
Such interesting patterns John - sometimes the shadows are more interesting than the reverse.ReplyDelete
I like how you have caught these shadows with their interesting patterns, people shadows too.ReplyDelete
Wonderful patterns in the shadows especially photo three:)ReplyDelete
Great collection of photos and some interesting shadows too.ReplyDelete
These are pretty special. I'm partial to a good shadow pic - not to mention the sun that creates them!ReplyDelete
Interesting...shadows always are. I think my fav is the one of the bicycles above the self portrait.ReplyDelete

I'd love to live in a place where there are such beautiful wrought iron fences.
