No Peace For The Geese

A little altercation spotted on the way to our next destination....

"Ours is a very superior pond, ours is"

"Plenty of room for everyone, and all so peaceful this morning,
just one man fishing and a couple of chaps taking photos"

*Absolutely perfect, ain't it?*

*Oh no, what's that I can hear?"

"COME ON, GUYS, THERE'S  A GREAT PLACE OVER HERE"

"NEVER MIND THE CARS. THEY'LL WAIT"

"IS THAT EVERYONE? ALL PRESENT AND CORRECT!"

"THIS WAY. QUICK MARCH!"

"NOT MUCH FURTHER NOW"

"OK, we're off!"

"SEE, PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE!"

"But we'll be back, we'll be back"

Take care

  1. Was there a 'beak off'? Our resident birds do not take kindly to interlopers.

  2. I am very happy to see those CANADA Geese marching in smart formation in so resolute a manner, announcing their superiority to all the world. I shall reach for my hockey stick, stand erect and sing the national anthem!

  3. So funny - but also so true. Canadas have taken over completely round here. Few other geese, no ducks, no swans.

  4. The colours and the birds…spectacular!

  5. Fun post...in the spring there are a lot of Canada geese in our neighborhood. And they just stroll down the streets here as if they own them. But as I was leaving the neighborhood one morning, when I got to the highway and stopped waiting for traffic one was strolling along the side of the highway ...when the traffic passed it raced across the road...I have never seen that before or since.

  6. How funny. I wouldn't argue with one Canada Goose on a mission let alone all of them. No wonder the other geese beat a hasty retreat:)

  8. Didn't know you had Canadian geese there, too. Where will they go to next?

  10. This is a great story giving the view of the geese. They are very aggressive birds.

  11. We have Canadian geese that fly over to the canal each morning, they seem to have taken over the waterways.

  13. From a senior who brought home 3 baby ducks from a park and hid them in a pan under her bed to "save them" to no avail due to grandma finding them out....you can see how much I love birds. What a lovely day to start my day....beautiful shots. Thanks! From the base of the mini-mountain in Maine. (P.S. No worries: Uncle drove the ducks and me to return the babies to the park manager.)

  20. May I congratulate those above who correctly referred to these wonderful birds as Canada Geese. They are not Canadian Geese.
