Bressingham Gardens has featured in these pages before, but it's always worth another visit. It's the creation of the aptly named Bloom family and consists of two large gardens, The Dell Garden and Foggy Bottom Garden. Here's some of what I saw.....
There may well be another selection of photos from Bressingham once I get them sorted out. Until then....
Take care.
Lucky you to be able to wander through such a beautiful garden. The photos capture the blooms. Always fancied going to Beth Chatto's garden, is in Essex but never made it.
ReplyDeleteOh my. What a glorious place. I could happily spend hours there.
ReplyDeleteSuper tour of their gardens John. I do occasionally buy stuff from them - always forst class and well-packed. I like your one or two 'art' shots too (hostas?) and they say a lot - good garden design when we are talking perennials and herbaceous borders is not all about flowers - the greenery is just as important.
ReplyDeleteYou have an artistic eye and approach to the nature you see.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely place tor stroll around.
ReplyDeleteGreat gardens. I can see why you are always keen to return. The name "Foggy Bottom" reminds me of a restaurant I once patronized by that name. It went from friendly people and great food to borderline surly and mediocre fare following a change of ownership. Predictably, it went out of business.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, the Bloom family sure lived up to their name! That place is fabulous and your photos are outstanding, John!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to walk. The flowers and views are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place! Love all the different flowers.
ReplyDeleteLots of beauty in those gardens.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy seeing the world through your eyes, John. Some of these look like Thomas Kincade paintings, just unbelievably beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place that is. And your shots are incredible!
ReplyDeleteHas fotografiado muy bien, los buenos detalles de los jardines.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
The plants and their blooms are gorgeous it is hard to pick a favourite! Love them all!
ReplyDeleteWOW stunning photos John. I really enjoy visiting beautiful gardens. I love the small round summer house.
ReplyDeleteI would thoroughly enjoy a day out in those gardens.
ReplyDeleteGreat variety of color in flowers and leaves.
ReplyDeleteFirst, a belated Happy Birthday John. As always wonderful photos. There is so much to see near you that I wonder how big an area you cover in your blog.
ReplyDeleteMost of what I cover is within an hour's drive from my house, unless we venture to the coast which takes about two hours. For reasons I don't really understand we tend to go east more often than west. It's almost all within East Anglia.
DeleteIt is wonderful and, if I ever return for a trip an area I must investigate.
DeleteWhat a lovely garden walk! I hear June of Britain is a wonderful season. The weather here is mostly rainy or occasionally sunny and sultry. The garden with a gazebo framed by the front bokeh plants (#6) looks dreamy, right out of a fairy tale. The 10th and the 14th images are also my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI’ve always fancied visiting Bressingham Gardens but I live some distance away from this lovely place. So I was really pleased to read your blog post! Lovely photos! 😁
ReplyDeleteA beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteThe garden is beautiful and the pictures of flowers are amazing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Love that shot of the grasses against the pink stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi John - I'd love to visit Bressingham ... it looks a fascinating place - with a lot of history too from the Bloom family. Excellent photos ... and I can understand you going east - towards the coast, if you went west ... your legs would be stretched further across the country! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI would love to walk around that garden, so pretty. Lovely shots too.
ReplyDeleteBressingham Gardens is well worth many visits, John, not only the colorful blooms but the patterns of the leaves were quite striking.
ReplyDeleteI just want to wander around here and read a book or sketch things.
