Usually at this time of year I compile a "calendar" of photos taken during the last year, but with no photos taken between August and November that's not going to work this time. So I've delved back a bit further into the past to present you with pictures of some of the wildlife seen around here.

ReplyDeleteHow very, very beautiful. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi John - these are quite delightful - what fun photos ... I love the seals smiling at you, and the squirrel - saying hey-ho ... I'm a happy 'bunny' ... beautiful to see ... so cheery. Delighted you're back - take care and have a lovely year end - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely photos capturing all those wild creatures we maybe see or don't.
ReplyDeletePerfect calendar for me having visited a coupleof those places this year. No calendar is complete withoutthd Christmas robin.
ReplyDeleteAs usual John - perfect photographs - think I like water vole best(because he is looking at you looking at him) but then there is the robin of course,
ReplyDeleteYour end of hear photos are always enjoyable, John. I hope that you are feeling better and that your holidays will be good and filled with great times.
ReplyDeleteI always love to see the English Robin. So different from our American ones...funny they got the same name, ours a Robin-redbreast, yours a Robin-redface/chin.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, John. Loved seeing the assortment some of which I've seen on other blogs this past year, like Marie at Fun60 and Mary at Trundling Through Life.
ReplyDeleteThese are great, John. My favorites are the little egret - that thin blue line peaking through the beak! and the robin with its bright burst of color! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful calendar of photos, John. I love seeing what you see there.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are super, John. The English Robin is so much a Christmas image - lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuper photos. How wonderful to see a water vole:)
ReplyDeleteVery intresting collection thank you johnand les !!! R j.b...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and wonderful idea for a calendar. I don't think I've ever seen that many deer in one place!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. They are all calendar worthy!
ReplyDeleteI can't choose a favorite. If it was an actual wall calendar I would enjoy each photo in turn.
ReplyDeleteGreat group of wildlife photos, ,I enjoyed this post. (I enjoy all of them).
ReplyDeleteI just found out that you were back courtesy Weaver of Grass Thanks so much for your uplifting photos.
ReplyDeleteA lovely collection!
ReplyDeleteHi. Via Weave's blog!!
The little squirrel is my favourite. The results of hard work has gone well.
ReplyDeleteI came here from The Weaver of Grass. Beautiful photos, stunning really.

ReplyDeleteThank you, just wonderful!
Thank you for the explanation of your blog title too John. Yes on ou r farm many of the fields had names - now of course our farm is split up and sold and the old names will have disappeared.
ReplyDeleteFor me I like november ,desember and january but all are very pretty!Well done:)))
ReplyDeleteDelightful photos - tried but can't chose a favourite except that to see a water vole is very special in itself now, a common sight on the R. Mole in Surrey when I was a child - so I'll plump for the traditional Christmas robin. A very happy Christmas to you and hoping to be able to 'share' many walks in 2023
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning images, John. You must also have the patience of a saint to capture such lovely images of wildlife. Merry Christmas to you and yours and all the best for the coming year.
ReplyDeleteAll of these pictures are first rate and if a printed calendar were to be produced it would be a runaway best seller I am sure.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I agree with David — my first thought was, they would make a lovely calendar!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! Every single one of them.
ReplyDeleteLove those baby moorhens. Aw. So glad you're back posting, John. Have a good Christmas.
ReplyDeleteStunning photos! Thanks ever so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWishing you & yours a joyous holiday season and a new year filled with prosperity, good health, contentment, and all that fills you with peace & joy.
Wonderful pictures John
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, John. Thank you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a fabulous selection John. The Water Vole was a great capture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful calendar of wildlife! There are many fallow deer in Nara Park and surrounding forests, but bucks with such fine antlers are rarely seen as most of them shed antlers till January at latest. The Robin is so cute.
ReplyDeleteHi John - so good to see these ...all beautiful and very appropriate to our English climes - the moorhens are quite delightful. Cheers and all the best for the rest of the year and into 2023 - Hilary
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, John. Your photos are exquisite and they brighten my days. Elaine
ReplyDeleteAn amazing compilation of beautiful creatures. I live in the countryside and haven't taken any wildlife photos as good as these.
ReplyDeleteThank you and all the very best for the coming year.
