We've had some subtly beautiful mornings this week. Not the kind of beauty you'd notice while scraping ice from your windscreen, it's true, but a sprinkling of gentle magic even so. Just the kind of thing to catch my eye on an early walk around the fields near home.
A handful of memories of how things looked on a particular day in January 2022.
Take care.
Beautiful frost pictures!
ReplyDeleteWish you a happy weekend!
Thank you for seeing, capturing and sharing the beauty that surrounds you.
ReplyDeleteJanuary has been lovely - blue skies, a sharp chill in the air, and bags of sunshine. Even my snowdrops are in flower.
ReplyDeleteHi John - stunning views ... gorgeous pics ... I'm grateful for the blue and the sun ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHoar frost. Can do wonders to a landscape. The magic of winter is truly revealed when the sun shines on it and a walk through woodland and meadow is delightful.
ReplyDeleteThat should read "Hoar frost can do......" with no period after frost and sans capital "C". Do you think one day the dexterity of my fingers will align with my brain? I doubt it!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos all...the photographer does an excellent job of finding just the right background that shows off the subject, or perhaps nothing at all. I traveled through these beautiful shots thinking one might not do this, but I was wrong. It's a gift! You have it and share it...and I receive it and enjoy same.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots of the frost and its magic on the world. Love those silhouette shots as well. Nature gives us such wonderful surprises when we but open our eyes.
ReplyDeleteWell done, John! You certainly have a talent for finding beauty everywhere and everyday! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful and chilly morning there. Love the light and frost.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos of frost. I'll bet you hope that this is the last frost you see this winter?
ReplyDeleteThat was a frosty morning for a walk. You captured it so well.
ReplyDeleteMorning frost on vegetation is always lovely!
ReplyDeleteEvery one of these shots is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful. I keep my car in the garage so don't have to scrape the windscreen.
ReplyDeleteThe special beauty of a cold winter morning! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, especially the first shot.
ReplyDeleteVery observant photos!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos as always. We particularly liked the first and last and the seedheads.
ReplyDeleteLove those frost images. Enjoy the weekend, John.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are wonderful. I have always thought you had a poet's way with words...gentle magic....subtly beautiful. Perfect titles for blog posts.
ReplyDeleteExtraordinary pictures. Have you ever thought of making them into cards? I know a certain person that would be your first customer.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! How many beautiful things on an ordinary morning! Thank you for showing us that beauty.
