A few photos from my early morning walk, starting before dawn and home again by 09:15. Just a stroll from my house, mostly on the footpath beside the little chalk stream that runs just behind the houses.
That's how it looked this morning as the sun rose and then glowed. There was just a hint that a low mist was going to form but that never really happened today. It was all so autumnal that I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this as I neared home....
Talk about getting your order in early for Christmas!
Take care.
The light in these photos is beautiful, John.
ReplyDeleteYep, they bring on Christmas far too early these days. . . .although I have to say our stores have nowhere near the holiday stock right now as in other years. I asked for boxed Christmas cards this week at my local drugstore where I usually find nice ones but they haven't received any yet! Shipping being the worldwide problem. I did end up finding great ones at my local independent bookstore though - and they were quite affordable - and I prefer to do business with them anyway.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of mailing cards - wow! what a price increase - and parcel postage is totally out of sight now!
Beautiful Autumn photos John, thanks for sharing your neighborhood. All lovely but I especially love the third one down.
Have a great week - Mary
My favourite is the second one with the church in the background and the mist in the foreground. You live in a beautiful part of the country.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos capturing the Autumn we all know. Light frosting, low mist and the sun breaking through.
ReplyDeleteEarly morning walks has its own beauty. What a great stroll you had, John. Photo #3 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteCharming Autumnal photographs and nothing better than seeing them on such an early morning walk.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely walk so close to home!
ReplyDeleteThat is a truly beautiful walk. Thank you. Many, many thanks.
ReplyDeleteLovely walk! The third photo is my favourite, too. The last one is very sweet!
ReplyDeleteIt is truly beautiful there, John. What a lovely stroll from your house.
ReplyDeleteGREAT photos! That castle in the distance...💙
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful walk to take to meet the dawn. Glad you're willing to share because I won't be out there that early to so the same some day.
ReplyDelete[Christmas is coming. I was working on the cards today.]
Lovely autumn views.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos once again. Thank you, John.
ReplyDeleteLovely fall colors!
ReplyDeleteHi John - delightful end ... and I loved joining you on your early morning walk - gorgeous. Always wonderful to see your world - thank you ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteEarly morning has delivered some magical misty photos - I was quite shocked when I looked in my diary and realised that Christmas was only 5 weeks away.
ReplyDeleteA hint of mist and a pretty sky - worth getting up for (though I hardly ever manage it!) It's less than 40 days until Christmas now, though I refuse to even think about it until December.
ReplyDeleteI think it makes all of us just a little envious that you can do all of this and be home by 9:15, not having had to get in a car to arrive at the starting point and then drive home. A pox on the people who get into Christmas in early November!
ReplyDeleteLovely restful walk. The morning light is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so appealing to me...specially 3, 6, 10, and 11...but really enjoyed all of them.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos. I love that Santa sign. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so beautiful, especially the first three and the two with the wooden gates:)
ReplyDeleteA splendid set of 'Autumnal' images that you have kindly shared, John. Autumn is such a joyful and colourful season!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful morning walk! It does seem a bit early for Christmas signs but it seems like they are appearing here, too. Some folks can’t wait, I guess.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a truly beautiful area. That circular branch (photo #4) is so unusual!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place for a walk!
ReplyDeleteThese photos show such peace and tranquility. I wish I could walk these paths. I quit my morning walks because now all I get is car exhaust and zooming noise. Too many people have moved to Florida. My county used to be peaceful. Maybe if I walk at 4 a.m. in the pitch dark.....:(
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful (very) early morning walk, John, and my favorite in this group was the third photo from the top. The lighting and the foliage on the lone tree in the early morning light was simply beautiful. As others have commented, you do live in such a lovely area for your walks.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite time of the day. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful morning walk, I enjoyed seeing your photographs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I'll say it again, you live in an exquisitely beautiful spot on the earth, and you have the talent to capture it.
ReplyDeleteHow so calm and beautiful! I could walk feeling the slow passing time and the steady soft pulse of the village whole way through. I really agree with Tara.
ReplyDeleteYoko
Makes it worthwhile when you go for walk on a morning like this
