The Ox-eye Daisies were looking good yesterday....
….as were the flowers of the wild Dog Rose....
And for today's "Music On Friday" (arriving on Saturday this week - what's the use of being retired if I still have to stick to schedules?) I'll share with you an artist whom I would probably have missed entirely if not for a young man that I used to look after; she was one of his favourites when she released her first album and had her first hit record when she was just 18. Here she is, rather more acoustic than usual, locked down in her own house....
Take care.
That field of ox-eye daisies can be seen here too, and spectacular it is!
ReplyDeleteLove daisies, fresh and bright, and these are really amazing photos of them - I'd give anything to walk through a field of ox-eyes right now! Wild roses are so pretty too.
ReplyDeleteAmy's music is certainly on point - I can see myself sitting in a rustic country pub enjoying a glass of wine and listening to her music! Can't wait to start traveling again, especially home to Devon!
Enjoy these weekend days John. . . . .even though they all feel the same now!
The daisies are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the daisies against the blue. And thank you for posting the Amy MacDonald song.
ReplyDeleteBlue skies and flowers! So incredibly beautiful. And lovely music too.
ReplyDeleteThe blooms are cheerful. Just what we need today.
ReplyDeleteThese are some of the greatest pics of the daisies! I have yet to get one even half so decent. That first is a stroke of genius I think! And the wild Dog Rose is pretty, too. We always just call them wild rose bushes.
ReplyDeleteOh, good music, too.
Hi John - love all the daisies and those rock roses ... while Amy's music 'A Little Piece of My Heart' is just beautiful ... she has an amazing voice. Thanks for sharing with us - and yes I could happily listen to her for the evening ... take care - Hilary

ReplyDeleteI would love to lay down in that field of daisies!
ReplyDeletewhat could be better than beautiful flowers against a blue sky? Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAmy's song is certainly one for the times. I've not heard her before, but will be looking her up. Thank you, and Happy Weekend John.
Wonderful perspective in your first photo, and I enjoyed the music video!
ReplyDeleteWow. On all counts.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it all - thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love your first photo! It's a great perspective of the flowers.
ReplyDeleteAh those perky spring flowers are gorgeous John, such a welcome and uplifting sight after winter 🌸
ReplyDeleteBeautiful summerflowers!
ReplyDeleteI just love all those beautiful flowers! I'll bet is smells heavenly by the roses. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteA lovely and bright set of images John.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of beautiful flowers. Some people think the wild dog rose is a weed, I have liked them ever since I was a little girl, I have one in my garden. It's always good to hear Amy.
ReplyDeletePretty flowers, far more advance over there than in New England.
