October's Garden

A walk around the Botanic Garden's little lake on a drizzly morning:

I'm not sure if this one's a photo or not.....

Take care.

  1. Love the autumn colors. I like the photo showing the leaves in the water with the tiny drops.

  4. I suppose the moral of the story is that a little drizzle shouldn't keep one indoors.

  10. There is something about the colors of autumn that tug at the heart. So beautiful and ephemeral.

  12. Wonderful photos, especially that third one. Somehow, even on a dull and drizzly day, the autumn reds manage to sing out brightly.

  14. I so love a sweet gum tree...they are my favorite tree and if not for the prickly things that drop from them, I would have at leas one in my yard, and maybe more.

I would love a walk in the rain...I used to enjoy picking apples in the rain, so long as there was no lightning. (I worked at an apple orchard for a=19 years) There is just a kind of hush all over when it rains.

  16. No words are needed here, John. The water reflections are favorite subjects of mine as well.
