  9. This is a lovely series, John, beautifully photographed. Two of the plants look like crocus, which is an early spring bulb in New England. Does it have a different blooming pattern in the UK?

  11. Nice contrast of the red leaves against the yellow ones. I like the subtle colours on the trunk of the aspen. Jack, the crocus are probably fall crocus (colchicum- different from the spring crocus).
