  3. Terrific portraits, John. I would have loved to be there taking portrait photos, too.

The Thaxtad Morris men have two very young dancers. They start them young. It is probably important to attract young folks, to replenish the ranks so that Morris dancing doesn't die out.

  4. These men look happy and fulfilled. I do wish more men would take it up John - it would be such a shame if it all died out.

  6. What wonderfully expressive faces the morris men have - you can tell how much they enjoy themselves. It would be a shame should it all be lost because of lack of interest as there is so much history both social and local in the dances and music:)

  7. It's very strange. Here in Ontario, I've seen lots of Scottish, and Irish dancing, I've seen Ukrainian, Italian, Greek, Indian, Chinese, Native Canadian and the list goes on and on, but I have never seen English Morris dancing. I really wonder why that tradition did not survive in Canada. The music and dancing on the video had a great lilt to them.

  8. The portraits of the musicians and dancers in their decorated hats are colorful and lovely. I enjoyed the video (and for some odd reason, so did my cat!). It's great that all different ages are having fun and carrying on a nice tradition.
