After The Rain...

Time for a wander through my local nature reserve alongside the little River Mel and around Melwood. The air was clean and fresh after the rain cleared. The leaves and flowers sparkled with raindrops and the birds were singing. A few children were splashing through the mud and puddles with parents following at a respectful distance. These are the pictures I was inspired to take...

    What a wonderful vignette, the pic with the stream. So many different plants and yet together in such harmony. It would be hard to plan such a beautiful grouping but this just grew by itself. The last pic is just totally romantic. A beautiful young girl in a soft, flowing white dress has just danced out of the picture,off to meet her true love.

    I'm certain that gateway leads to a place I would love to explore.
    We had a torrent of rain last night, complete with the drama of thunder and lightning. I"m about to pull on my wellies and tromp about the property before the dark clouds in the north move in to spill more rain.

    Ah! The bluebells are in bloom! It's great that this is local for you, easy to get to if you need to get away for some time with nature.

    I love that final photo - it looks so romantic:) Everything is so wet though - that poor little pony looks drenched.

    I love this series of photos. I especially like the 8th photo, the glistening flowers and grass in the spotlight. Bluebell is so lovely.
