  1. first signs of Spring happening for you John, and here is just the start of a weeny chill in the early morning air to remind us it's Autumn; my most favourite season. I enjoyed the feisty shoot spearing through the earths crust, and the wonderful blossoms and crocus too.

  2. I too really like that first photo. Nice idea in capturing that.

  3. They are all wonderful, John, but the simplicity and unspoken message of the first image win the prize for the day.

  4. Great photography. Most of us try to capture signs of spring like that - not many of us do it so well. You can almost feel that first shoot pushing through the earth - an illustration of life force, for sure. The same force within us must surely recognise and resonate with that.

  8. If that is not spring on its way then I don't know what is.

  11. For some reason I've had to wait till I arrived back on shore to see this blog - my offshore connection was playing up badly over the last week. I do like the progression of spring flowers that appear and help you through the remains of winter. Even up here in the frozen north it's beginning to look like spring.
