Administering The Antidote

Flat, grey skies. Remains of grey snow. The temperature, like the economy, is flat-lining at around zero (degrees C). Time to administer the antidote. Time to journey back to the colours of summer and some photos taken when visiting Wimpole Hall last August. The formal garden, the parkland, the walled garden and glasshouses. Always meant to show you these but never did. So buy an ice cream, put on your floppy hat and lets wander awhile.....

Take care.

  1. Great shots. And glad your antidote to winter isn't large amounts of strong drink! Jim

  4. An antidote indeed John. Here it is all grey too and so slippery underfoot that I am staying indoors - so have cabin fever as well.

A delightful post John, thanks for sharing your summer images.

  6. Love the eye-popping flower gardens. Spring will come again, it really will. And because we went through winter, we will enjoy it all the more. Great photos.

  7. It looks wonderful, by this time in the winter it's hard to remember what warm sunshine feels like and this reminder is very encouraging.

  8. Oh yes, so tired of pewter skies, - I'm going to my old garden to snip off some forsythia sticks and watch them bloom golden. These are lovely and uplifting, John.
