A rag-bag of photographs that I took on a single day last week when I was supposed to be Christmas shopping! Put together here for two reasons only: a) I took 'em. b) I like 'em!
Nice selection of photos! I think I know why you wanted to take pictures of these. Colors, geometric patterns, shimmering leaves, reflections, lights in the dusk ...I’m attracted by these things, too.
I like 'em all. It is funny, but I am easily distracted when it comes to photography, even if I don't have a camera handy, I compose mental pictures... so I can understand why you took so many wonderful shots when out shopping :^)
I have a thing about photos of doors so I love the photos of the orange doors and the green one. I love the two of the modern buildings with windows, too:)
Well, a fine selection of opinions! Lots of people have a thing about doors - I'm more of a windows man myself! Me too, Doug - always noticing images even without the camera. And when I have a camera sometimes the wretched thing takes over and seems to have a life of its own, dragging me into places and situations where I wouldn't normally go - or maybe I'm just avoiding the Christmas shopping!
So, how much Christmas shopping did you get in, John? I know I've dragged my feet on it this year, and have no excuse! My favorite picture is the last one, the conversing bikes!
If you took them and you like them - well that's a good enough reason to post them. I love those red doors - and the 3rd to bottom with the lovely light and shade.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'll try to answer any questions via a comment or e-mail within the next day or two (no hard questions, please!).
They're all great photos. Particularly like no.3 (orangey-red doors), no.6 (plant at the door) and the last one (trees in the park).
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jenny; those are the three I like best, too. Jim
ReplyDeleteGreat photos as always, thanks for sharing them! Jane x
ReplyDeleteThat is a good enough reason. I like the mix of geometric and fluid, linear and loose.
ReplyDeleteWhat better reason can you have. I like 'em too, especially those abstracty architectural, ones.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great being editor in chief, you really don't need to consult with anyone about what you publish.
ReplyDeleteSome great colour work.
