So many of the s...Greed is such an insidious vice. So many of the slave owners would have claimed to be Christians, and yet they willingly abused people for monetary gain. It took Wilberforce and other like minded people decades to finally have slavery abolished, although it should have been obvious from the outset of the practice that it was wrong. Today similar abuses go on, just under different guises. I'm glad to see that there are tributes to men who stood up for what is right,and who remind us that we have to speak up for the oppressed and be willing to use our own money and resources to help more disadvantaged people.
