There are also some interesting museums which the general public are largely unaware of. I must admit I'm a bit of a foxglove fan myself.John "By Stargoose And Hanglands"https://www.blogger.com/profile/00832873074550725579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3404276749629719070.post-62848629121181608032011-06-11T07:35:44.190+01:002011-06-11T07:35:44.190+01:00Cambridge is a city I've visited several times...Cambridge is a city I've visited several times but I must admit that I haven't been to the Botanical Gardens yet. They look well worth visiting, like Dianne my favourite photo is the one with the foxgloves and other cottage-y flowers.Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3404276749629719070.post-85532052675602639902011-06-10T08:56:35.897+01:002011-06-10T08:56:35.897+01:00You have to forget envy and just enjoy! The gardens are designed to be a teaching tool for botanists at the university which means that all the plants are accurately labelled, that's great if you want to get something for your own plot. But I suppose that's also why you have to pay for admission; after all it's not really a public garden. Thanks for all comments.John "By Stargoose And Hanglands"https://www.blogger.com/profile/00832873074550725579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3404276749629719070.post-53169457471375410932011-06-10T01:07:50.578+01:002011-06-10T01:07:50.578+01:00Lovely! My gardens are not half as pretty nor do I have a greenhouse. Most of the plants and seeds I got came from my Mom's gardens. So, I get alittle of her at my house, but not her greenthumb! Thank you again, for the wonderful places you take me!momalizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08018644836212063334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3404276749629719070.post-82276450494740531012011-06-09T23:52:11.075+01:002011-06-09T23:52:11.075+01:00Wonderful photos I especially like the one with th...Wonderful photos I especially like the one with the foxgloves and other pink and lavender toned flowers - just delightful.<br />I'm surprised to read you have to pay to visit your Botanical Gardens - ours here in Australia are free.Diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02806482148547283594noreply@blogger.com
