I revisited the cottage in 2008, and it had been added on to, but it was still very much the way I remembered it. The man who owned it allowed me to see the indoors, and how they'd extended so carefully into the large garden. Due to listing restrictions, they had to carefully match everything to the original look, but the work was needed because the thatch roof was causing the walls to bow. I really enjoyed taking a little tour through my old home. I've recently discovered that it's been sold to someone new, but the little cottages of that little village are always going to be home.
