I do hope they will replant with seedlings from those elms.Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16043065727770116407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3404276749629719070.post-37516146882677294262011-08-20T15:29:57.537+01:002011-08-20T15:29:57.537+01:00What a nice little tour John - I don't know Ca...What a nice little tour John - I don't know Cambridgeshire at all, so I really enjoyed it. I lived in the midlands at the time of Dutch Elm Disease = we lost three elms in our garden at the time and whole avenues of elms were felled - it was awful. I did hear Richard mabey talking about these surviving elms and I believe there is already a nursey somewhere with seedling from them which should be ready to plant out in a few years. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3404276749629719070.post-31546909580401850922011-08-20T13:09:55.219+01:002011-08-20T13:09:55.219+01:00I'm really enjoying going on these walks with ...I'm really enjoying going on these walks with you. How interesting that just a pocket of elms have survived. I was really glad to hear that. It feels like so much of our nature is under threat from one thing or another.jennyfreckleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12221511824958069710noreply@blogger.com
