Out Of The Wood

I mentioned recently that I'd been taking a lot of photographs of rotting wood. I know,I know - cute kittens, pretty girls and stunning landscapes are more obvious subjects but these were all in short supply on a cold January morning in Cambridgeshire. So......

Wood can't do this all on its own, of course; it needs a little help from these little chaps below.

Take care.

  1. Lovely shots. Dead wood is so important for insects and you don't see as much of it lying about these days.

  22. Way more appealing than cute kittens, pretty girls and stunning landscapes. It would be interesting to see them with a variety of lighting to highlight the texture.

  23. These are beautiful photos, the woods and the mushrooms too. I'm tired of kittens and dogs and would rather have my attention drawn to something I might otherwise miss.
