Mill Road - Revisited

Back in the balmy days of September I took my camera on a stroll down Mill Road in Cambridge to try to capture some of its multi-cultural, up-to-the-minute, down-at-heel charm. I took rather a lot of photos and was going to show you another selection. Well, rather later than planned, here they are:

Take care.

  1. I must say John that your photographs do make me want to wander down that street - very tempting. I think you have captured the spirit of the place very well.

  3. I'm so pleased you took your camera for a stroll - I could spend time mozzying around in Spice-Gate oh! and that bric-a-brac shop looks interresting! and you even have a Post Office? they are slowly diminishing here.

  4. Nice that even beautiful Cambridge has its 'ordinary' face - but very interesting ordinary.

  5. I love your photos! They capture everything and everyone. Was that a thrift store or antique shop? I love both! I couldn't get a close-up to see what all was in that one picture. That's all the Connelly girls do when we're together or alone...go to second-hand stores!

  6. Thanks for all your comments. As to what sort of shop it is, Liz - the owner woud call it an antique shop, some would call it a second-hand shop, some may prefer a pre-loved and re-cycled items shop and some would unkindly say it was a junk-shop. Take your pick!
